It’s that magical time of year… We’re officially in the midst of the Holiday Season (my absolute favorite time of year 😍🎄💞✨), so I wanted to kick things off by posting my ultimate shopping guide for Safe & Chic, which is a one-stop-shop for Green Beauty & Wellness products! While I love to feature many indie brands, I also realize that a lot of these brands aren’t readily available to everyone and sometimes, we just want to do all of our shopping in one place! Safe & Chic is sort of like if you took the Beauty section of Whole Foods & made it available online, with free shipping!
All of these brands have stood the test of time with me over the years during my green beauty and living journey. I only recommend products that I genuinely love and use myself, so although you’ll find affiliate links here (where if you use my link I make a small commission at no extra cost to you), you can read my full affiliate disclosure here, rest assured, these are heartfelt & unbiased recommendations! I have a ton of reviews & blog posts featuring indie brands, as well, so be sure to sign up for my email list so you won’t miss any posts!
Now let’s get to it! Sit down & have a cup of tea with me… ☕🍵🤗

Luxury Beauty WORTH THE HYPE!
Kari Gran Lip Whip– my absolute favorite non-vegan lip balm… The texture, the experience, the performance…. It’s literally perfection! I use this at nighttime before bed or during the day when I’m home and it works wonders on my Chronically dry lips. I find that having a really good night time lip treatment is key to healthy lips throughout the day. Our skin heals the most while we sleep, so let this little wonder work it’s magic! I like the tinted cinnamon scent for the holidays and the peppermint is very lightly scented, making it ideal all year long. Both options are very mildly scented for those who are sensitive to scents of any kind, natural or otherwise.
Au Naturale Lipstick in Ambition & Charmed are my two favorite lipsticks from Au Naturale for the cooler months of the year, but I love these shades all year long, too.
I have a full blog post with other lip swatches HERE! &
I have a Lip & Cheek Swatches post dedicated to Au Naturale HERE!

Clove & Hallow Lipstick in Sugared Plum is such a gorgeous neutral with a bit of zest that’s perfect for everyday, while still being super fun! It’s a plum shade with a hint of orchid that makes me think of Spring flowers, all things girly, with just a touch of funky flare. It’s a demi-matte finish and I adore the creamy formula! I really want to try more colors from this line!
Fitglow Lumi Firm–the price tag on this product is steep, just like all Fitglow products 😅, but I love & use this product almost every day! Especially during my 5 minute makeup looks when I need to get my son out of the house & have little to no time to make myself look put together. Basically, I use this product as a natural alternative to Clinique’s Touch Base or Mac Paint Pot. I apply it to my eyelids (liberally) & it provides just enough pigment & sheen to hide the veining I have in my eyelids that I like to cover as much as possible. What I like about Lumi Firm is that even though it’s a cream product, it dries down to a semi-matte finish & doesn’t remain “tacky” like many other cream products can. So I apply this product on its own or as a base for my eyeshadow. Plus, the ingredients make this a makeup product with skincare benefits! And this is meant to be a multipurpose highlight that can be used anywhere you want to add some golden glow!
Fitglow Beauty Conceal+: I actually purchased this Fitglow concealer on a whim after hearing the initial rave reviews when it first released, & I wasn’t expecting to love it. But, I must say, this baby literally rivals ALL concealers I’ve ever used (both conventional & natural) in terms of coverage & is actually better than the famous Tarte Shape Tape concealer, IMHO. So many products are marketed as concealers but don’t actually hide much of anything, so until this concealer, I had given up and was just using my loose mineral makeup either as a DIY serum concealer or all on its own (particularly under my eyes). If you don’t have time to DIY concealer, & you’re looking for a ready-made full coverage concealer, you won’t find another one with this much coverage!
Let’s see it in action!
The above photo of my skin last year during a particularly bad breakout. I initially thought it was from using the Fitglow concealer, but it was actually from a skincare product I was testing. If you have acne-prone skin, you have to try it for yourself to determine if it clogs your skin or not, but the ingredients look really good in comparison to many other concealers on the green market (that tend to be loaded with comedogenic butters, coconut oil, waxes, wheat germ oil, & cocoa butter, etc).
Here is a photo of me after applying JUST the Fitglow concealer on top of those angry blemishes! Not bad, right?! And I used a very small amount!
And lastly, here is a photo of me after applying Clove & Hallow’s pressed foundation in 02, which completely knocks out any residual redness & leaves a blank canvas that looks a little scary at first, but don’t worry, once blush & a dab of highlight is applied, it looks just like even-toned skin! We can’t hide the texture of blemishes, but we can definitely feel more confident by hiding the discoloration while they heal. 🤗
✨✨✨For my fellow acne-prone friends, be sure to check out these posts on my blog featuring two of my tried and true favorite skincare products for healing acne scarring & Hyperpigmentation! Nap In the Meadow Face Serum Review & Black Locust Firming Concentrate Review (be sure to subscribe to my blog if you want to be notified when I publish my full, updated skincare routine for Acne-prone, Aging Skin!)
100 Percent Pure Bamboo Blur Setting Powder & second skin foundation/concealer. If you have super acne-prone skin & many natural oils, butters, waxes, etc tend to clog your skin (believe me, I know the struggle!), you will never find a foundation with as simple of ingredients as this formula. The 2nd Skin Foundation & Concealer are literally two ingredients: squalane oil (which is one of the very few oils that are both safe for regular acne & fungal acne-blog post coming on this multifaceted topic!) & fruit/veggie pigments. There are NO other ingredients like emulsifying waxes that clog my skin horribly, or any waxes to bind ingredients together.
Many other foundations are loaded with different oils, making it virtually impossible to figure out which one or ones are bothering your skin. Now, this foundation & concealer doesn’t have great coverage, so if you’re looking for coverage, I would recommend pairing with a loose or pressed mineral makeup. Loose Mineral makeup can be safer for acne prone skin because, again, it has less ingredients. Safe & Chic sells Lily Lolo (I have about 5 different shades & they somehow all work for me! This is also my mother’s favorite mineral makeup because it’s matte). For a semi-matte option, Alima Pure has a TON of foundation shades to choose from and it literally looks like skin-not too matte & not too shiny.
Zuzu Luxe Clear Mascara–I love this both as a clear mascara to give subtle definition to my lashes, but what I really love to use this product for is to comb by brows every day! I use it to set my brows, without doing anything else or adding anything else to them, and it immediately makes me look more put together & I don’t have to worry about my brow hairs sticking up in crazy places throughout the day. I actually have two tubes of this: one for brows & one to use as regular clear mascara. Especially when we’re using mineral makeup, a lot can get trapped in our brow hairs and we have no idea until we comb them through. This product combs my brows, gets the makeup residue out, & sets them for the day in one super fast step!
Here are two photos of the Holiday Lipstick Duo in Red Gold & Rose Gold: I also reviewed these two shades HERE!
Aether Beauty Rose Quartz Palette (I have a full review coming soon!) but I wanted to mention this palette because if you love cooler toned shades and LOVE the concept of gemstone infused makeup 😍✨😍, then this palette is such a treat! I do wish they carried more than eyeshadow (I’d love to see blush down the road!), but for now, they offer 3 different eyeshadow palettes, all infused with different Gemstones with Eco-Friendly packaging. So, if you’re a makeup lover and are fascinated by the metaphysical properties of crystals, I definitely recommend considering these beauties as a gift for yourself or a thoughtful present for a loved one!
I just reviewed Aether Beauty’s Crystal Charged Cheek Palette in Ruby HERE!
Good Medicine Starry Eyes (the best eye cream in green beauty, IMHO!) It hydrates, depuffs, reduces fine lines, & has a very unique ingredient list. Plus, it will last forever because a little bit goes such a long way! Prior to finding this product a few years ago, I never thought eye cream could make that much of a difference beyond using a regular face moisturizer. I stand corrected! This blend has outperformed all of the “high end” Eye creams I’ve tried through subscription boxes & I’ve repurchased this stuff again and again!
Lily Lolo Contour Duo with a bronzer & illuminator. This is hands down my absolute favorite highlight in pressed form! It leaves the most gorgeous, pearlescent glow that looks both natural, but visible (meaning, it doesn’t look nonexistent), it does exactly what Highlighter is meant to do and I honestly didn’t understand the whole highlighting craze until I tried this product 4 years ago! It literally rivals the Charlotte Tilbury duo & I actually think I prefer the Lily Lolo for many reasons!
Lily Lolo Mascara in Black is one of my two favorite mascaras in Green Beauty… It keeps my lashes curled, adds volume, and length, while creating a naturally feathery look (no spidery lashes here!).
W3ll People Narcissist Mascara is my other favorite mascara in green beauty that I’ve purchased again and again. I like to share both options because the W3ll People Mascara has a plastic wand that I actually really love, but some people prefer the natural fiber/bristle brush type of wands, which is what you’ll find with the Lily Lolo Mascara. So, while both are amazing options I highly recommend, personal preference may make you opt for one over the other!
HUM Nutrition Skin Heroes Pre & Probiotics as well as their Flatter Me digestive enzymes (absolute lifesavers if you suffer from digestive issues or IBS). I’m going to do a full blog post on these products soon! I’ve been using them for 4 months now and I feel SO much better!! Whenever my stomach isn’t handling a certain food well, I always make sure I have the digestive enzymes with me to take as needed, as well as before the two biggest meals I have during the day. My whole stomach used to literally be tender to the touch from so much inflammation after years and years of digestive issues. I’ve tried many, many products like these and nothing really helped at all, not even in the beginning. I tried HUM out of sheer desperation as a last ditch effort when I couldn’t afford the costs of a colonoscopy & endoscopy ordered by my doctor. My digestion isn’t perfect, but it is SO much better… It gives me hope that I can tackle the rest with diet changes & mindful eating.
I hope you’ve found my green beauty & Wellness favorites helpful! Shopping online can be overwhelming & it’s my goal to make it easier to live the natural, healthy life you’re striving for!
