Today I’m excited to do a quick review of this amazing, 100% Natural Alcohol-free Hairspray in Herbal Mint from Honeybee Gardens!

I have to admit, I’ve never been a “hairspray” kinda gal…. I was literally in school for 27 years of my life and working, interning, & have honestly never known what boredom feels like 😅. So, fast forward 7 years & now, as a Mom, I somehow have even less time for myself (going to grad school, working full time, and interning was actually easier than the responsibilities that involve raising a special needs child 24/7–believe me, I had NO idea what I was in for!). Nevertheless, whatever your schedule is, we’re all busy & it’s not a competition! 🙏 Finding time for Self-care & putting in that extra bit of effort is hard! We live in a world that’s literally nonstop ALL the time!

I say all of this to convey that I’ve always just let my hair air dry, unless there was a specific event I took the time to do more with my hair… Well, now, I haven’t actually gotten a haircut in almost 2 years 🤣 (that’s a new record for me), & my layers are the longest they’ve ever been since childhood. There’s only one thing to do with hair this long when you want to put in some extra effort & that’s curl it up!

My main issue is that once I do curl my hair, I need the curl to STAY PUT, which is a struggle when you have lots of fine hair that refuses to actually hold a curl… I can curl my hair and look like Shirley Temple style ringlets and 30 minutes later it becomes straight with a slight curl at the end 🤷‍♀️… Frustrating to say the least, especially when you take the time to put effort into looking your best (or at least trying in my case 😂).

THEN, I finally gave this 100% Natural Hairspray a go from my beloved Honeybee Gardens and WOW! ✨Total Game Changer!✨👌My Shirley Temple ringlets become soft CURLS when I spritz my hair with this hairspray to set each finished strand. Then when it’s all done, I scrunch my hair with my fingers & I don’t comb it through (not for my fine hair, anyway). It’s really hard to photograph curls with hair this long for some reason, so I’ll share the photos I have that I took when I was out and about with my curled hair, but the curls definitely look better in real life than they do in these photos, FYI.

You can feel a little bit of stiffness from the hairspray, but it’s a medium hold, so it still let’s my hair flow freely in a natural way. The next day when I comb my hair, I’m left with soft waves and super shiny hair! I add some dry shampoo and can get through 3-4 days without washing my hair. I’ve been loving side ponytails to show the waves at the bottom strands on 2nd or 3rd day hair. And this bottle is huge!! It’s literally 4x the size of most other brands that charge a heck of a lot more. The Herbal Mint scent is derived from essential oils and doesn’t linger for long at all, so if it’s not your thing, don’t worry about it! The essential oils will add to hair health and overall shine!
