Have you been curious about Honeybee Gardens’ vegan, Cruelty-Free, & completely dye-free Lipsticks? You’ve come to the right place! ππ I absolutely love lipstick… Out of all the makeup items in my collection, my ride or die, can’t-imagine-life-without-them, products would be lipstick/lip tints & Blush! A good foundation is key, too, but that’s not nearly as much fun π. I’ve been shopping green beauty for a whopping 14 years now!! And believe me, that’s crazy for me to think about! Time really does fly… But, alas, I digress… π .
My point is that I’ve tried natural lipsticks from high-end to low-end and every price-point in between… So, how do these lipsticks measure up in comparison? Right off the bat, I’ll tell you that they are without a doubt the most affordable lipstick that comes packaged in an actual lipstick tube that you will ever find in green beauty.
*Side Note*There’s a big trend with some smaller brands buying cheaper lipsticks wholesale from a lab and the brand just slaps their label on these, charging any price that they want for a product they had no part in producing or creating. Aside from those brands, which I won’t discuss here because that’s a whole other topic!
These lipsticksπβ¨ from Honeybee Gardens are scent-free, with the faintest scent of what I imagine is cocoa butter & Thyme that is used to naturally preserve the formula, which dissipates very soon after application. These lipsticks are super moisturizing, therefore, they are a bit softer, so in the heat, you definitely want to keep them out of cars and don’t carry around 5 of them in your bag on a super hot day if you’ll be outside in the heat. BUT, sometimes, this happens and all I’ve done to save my lipsticks is put them in the fridge to re-solidify and they’re okay after that.
Due to the fact that they are more of a balmy formula, they do fade away like a tinted lip balm would, without leaving much of a stain behind. So, even though they’re not incredibly long-wearing, it doesn’t really matter to me because I give my 3 year old son thousands of kisses a day and I’m always sipping tea or water, snacking throughout the day here and there. So, I’m used to re-applying my lip products quite often. I’m also the type of person who feels totally naked without something on my lips, so I’ll take the moisturizing properties any day over a drying lipstick that might last longer.

Lip Swatches
Calliope
The Goldilocks of MLBB shades with some Sassπ I just had to share a few more detailed shots of this gorgeous NEW lipstick shade π. It’s a mid-toned rose with brown & red undertones that give it a totally wearable enhanced MLBB (My Lips But Better) effect with a satin finish & a super moisturizing vegan & gluten-free formula π. This is a perfect shade for someone who isn’t a big “lipstick” person, but wants to branch out a bit and have something with more oomph than a lip tint or clear lip balm. It’s also the ideal shade for the office and/or carting around your kiddo ππ while still embracing your free spiritβ¨. It is also most definitely a lipstick in the most traditional regard, too! π
Swizzle

πΊ I am just smitten & totally over the moon for this NEW, perfect πmedium, mauvey cool-toned nude lip with a cream finish, a hint of plum undertones & a subdued golden sheen that makes it oh-so-wearable & loveable! π To top it off, these lipsticks from Honeybee Gardens feel just as moisturizing as a tinted lip balm! That’s what I really, truly LOVE about green beautyβ¦ Makeup can actually be GOOD for your skin as well as your soul! ππ It just doesn’t get any better than that π. I was initially afraid that Swizzle would be another nude-ish shade that just washed me out & did nothing for meβ¦ Boy was I wrong! Just goes to show, ladies, you just can’t write a color off by how it appears swatched on the arm or what you “think” it may look like on you! Swizzle also appears darker when I apply a few coats, so there’s versatility! π It enhances my natural lip shade and enlivens my features, while making me feel alive & feminine. What more could a girl ask for??
Darla

Here I’m wearing one of the NEW Honeybee Gardens lipsticks in Darla, which is a gorgeous medium, bright rose with a cream finish that’s super moisturizing! This shade just screams that free-spirited summer vibe with brighter days ahead! ππΊ Darla is bright without being “too bright” so if you were looking to branch out a bit without being too over the top, Darla is a beautiful “in between” color! β¨ππππ
Dream
This shade is literally the stuff of dreams with its unique, medium warm-rose with a hint of burnished brown topped with a cool-toned, ethereal frosted finish βοΈπ β¨β¨β¨ Dreams a great everyday shade that also evokes my fun and creative side! I absolutely adore shades like this that are both sweet and spicey at the same time π€. It just makes me fall in love with indie cosmetics all over again! And this lipstick formula is πππ because it’s creamy, moisturizing, and fades evenly. I love that my lips don’t just absorb the oils and butters because the formula is thick enough to coat my lips for a long period of time!
Paradise
Paradise
Classic, vintage nude lipstick with a modern twist. Paradise Lipstick is a demure, dusty mauve-nude with a hint of a golden sheen that reminds me of the art deco period that brought women into a whole new realm of growth, opportunity, and the shimmering ability to dream. We, as modern women, don’t necessarily HAVE to wear makeup, BUT, we can now CHOOSE to wear makeup that not only feels good for our souls but is actually good for our health & world around us! Clean beauty is the best of both worlds where creativity & conscious living bring us closer and closer to our own version of Paradise. This is just Paradise in Lipstick form ππ. And, as always, the lipstick formula from Honeybee Gardens is creamy, moisturizing, build-able, flattering, & affordable! ππβ¨
San Francisco
San Francisco is a stunning feminine, light pink with cool-toned micro-shimmer that’s utterly magical and makes me think of every girly fairy tale wish I’ve ever had πβ¨π¦β¨.
Heirloom
Heirloom is a beautiful, mid-toned Mauve with rosey-plum undertones & a cream finish (no shimmer or sheen) that is another perfect MLBB shade! This was my go-to shade before Calliope was released, but I will always have Heirloom in my stash, as well! Heirloom rocks a slightly more English Rose type vibe than Calliope where Calliope is a bit more sassy π. If you’re a one shade of lipstick kinda person then you will love this Heirloom shade! It’s the kind of shade that will look good with anything. It doesn’t necessarily scream Lipstick when you have it on, so it’s great for the office or low key days. It’s also enough color and pigment to suit any occasion, as well, that calls for polished lips π. The formula is smooth and creamy with moisturizing ingredients and I can’t imagine this shade looking bad on anyone! Heirloom is my most worn, staple shade from Honeybee Gardens and is usually the shade I recommend to anyone if they don’t know where to start and want to get to know Honeybee Gardens Lipstick formula. Heirloom will never disappoint! πβ¨

Really loving pretty much all of these shades! I’m so, so glad to hear that you sound like you’re doing well and that your baby boy is now almost 2! πππ Time really, truly does fly by us, doesn’t it? I definitely feel you, I’m the same way about feeling like there’s no time for the extras, like makeup, etc. Especially now that my son isn’t napping π π€¦ββοΈ BUT, I find that these little things make me feel so much better and more connected to my former “self” outside of being a mom, which in turn, helps me be a better mom in the long run!
