Hey loves!! Today I’m here to share about my favorite brand of cream blush! (I’ll also be including some lip swatches as a bonus!) As a gal with oily skin, I’ve always loved the concept of cream blushes, but I’ve never found one that worked well for me until I tried Au Naturale’s line of The Anywhere Creme Multisticks! What sets these apart from other cream formulas I’ve tried is that they’re more of a “dry cream” product, meaning that you can apply them like a cream blush, but they instantly dry down to a smooth powder finish. They also apply beautifully over powder mineral makeup and that’s another reason I never opted for cream blushes in the past because they usually don’t mix well with powder foundation. These Multisticks are so fool-proof and easy to blend without taking away any of the coverage that you worked so hard to build with your foundation! This is especially key for us ladies with problematic skin with post acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. The last thing we want nor need is to have our blush accentuate what we worked so hard to cover up!
I’ve always dreamed of using cream products in the past though… π That image in my mind of a woman with perfect skin just effortlessly applying a dab of the perfect flush to her cheeks in one swift stroke before hopping out the front door to start her day with natural, knowing confidence β¨. Cream makeup products were the first of their kind, dating back to ancient times & the historical element always brings out the inner nerd in me π€.
These Multisticks come in a variety of flattering, pigmented shades to suit many needs and complexions. Sadly, I don’t have them all (although I wish I did!), but I’m going to swatch the ones I have with brief color descriptions and some cheek swatches so you can see them in action!
I should also note that these little beauties last all day long on my cheeks, even sweating through workouts, heat, and humidity. Now that we’re in the colder months of the year, I have no doubt they’ll be my go-to all winter long for the added moisture, too! These are also called Multisticks because they’re actually designed to be multipurpose, for cheeks, lips π, and eyes! I was hesitant to try them on my lips considering that it feels like a dry cream to me, but they surprisingly work really well on the lips, too! They don’t feel dry at all on the lips, but I would opt for more moisture myself as a standalone lip product, particularly in the cooler months. Thelma lip treatment would be wonderful underneath these if you planned to use them on the lips so you just have to carry one product in your bag for touch ups throughout the day!
Swatches:
Destiny– a light melon shade with some peach and orange undertones & a hint of sheen. Tarte often comes out with shades like this and I’ve been dreaming of a green beauty dupe for years and years! I’ve finally found it in Destiny! It’s such a flattering shade that’s so easy to work with because it’s buildable and adds a healthy warmth to the complexion without screaming “orange!”. It may be too pale for deeper complexions, however, I would still try a sample just to be sure!

Awaken-a light to medium petal pink with a warm undertone and an overlay of cool-toned sheen. Awaken is a gorgeous color on the lips, too!! It’s actually what made me really give these multisticks a chance on the lips. The color is just the perfect shade of pink. You have to be okay with sheen, though, if your main goal is to wear it on the cheeks. I absolutely love a slightly frosted finish, especially to balance out a warm shade (it just adds a lovely bit of depth and uniqueness to the shade that makes my heart sing). This shade makes me think of Sugar Plum Fairies π. You don’t necessarily need a highlighter in addition to this shade, too.

Sweetheart-a medium mauve with a warm, rosey undertone. I featured this shade in my Au Naturale Brand Spotlight post, so check that out if you missed it, but I’ll include the swatch photos here for reference in comparison to the other shades!

I’m also including the one highlighter shade I have that has their old style packaging before their rebrand. This highlighter shade is actually an illumating blush shade for my fair skin tone!The All Glowing Creme Highlighter stick in Rose Gold- it’s a mid toned rose gold very similar to Root’s November blush but in cream form. I love that this shade serves 3 purposes for me: subtle bronzer by adding warmth, blush by adding dimension & color, illuminator by adding sheen and light for an allover glow! Super pretty shade and very versatile. It also makes a lovely one and done eyeshadow shade!
These Anywhere Multisticks come in sleek, eco friendly, matte black stick-style packaging and they last a really, really long time! Even with daily wear, I feel like these would last a year, at least! They’re very pigmented so you don’t need a lot of layers. I like to apply straight from the stick in a sweeping motion and then blend with clean fingers. But, I also like to apply with a blush brush, dabbing the brush into the stick and then apply onto the cheeks in a stippling motion. These also don’t cause breakouts on my very acne-prone skin at all!
