The Night Eyeshadow & Blush Palette by Fitglow Beauty was kindly gifted to me by the amazing one-stop-shop at safeandchic.com, which is a virtual Green Beauty Wonderland😍! I was particularly excited about these new palettes from Fitglow Beauty because it’s an eyeshadow palette with blush, which is incredibly RARE in the green beauty realm (aside from the 100% Pure Palettes). I love eyeshadow palettes, but I’m obsessed with blush, so when an eyeshadow palette is paired with the perfect blush shade to complete your look, I’m ALL over it!!
I have to admit, Fitglow is a brand that comes with a high price-point, so I kinda wanted to hate these palettes 😅, BUT, I must say I’m super impressed with the overall quality of each shade in this Night Palette! So impressed, I actually went ahead and purchased the Day Palette with my own money (swatches coming soon!). I’ve been playing around with these two palettes for nearly a year now and I can honestly say they’re my most reached for palettes of 2019, by far.
They’re smooth, blendable, & are super easy to work with to create both subtle as well as bold looks. Plus, the ingredients aren’t just natural, they’re also infused with some plant-based nutrients that are good for your skin health! It doesn’t get any better than makeup that not only looks good, is fun to play with, but also is GOOD for your skin! Makeup that doubles as skincare is a win-win in my book!
Plus, the price point may seem steep at $69 a palette for 5 eyeshadows and one HUGE blush, but when you break it down, it actually averages out to be about $11 an eyeshadow & $14 for the blush (which is a huge pan!). This is on par with mid-range price-point brands like Root & the majority of Mineral Makeup companies out there. The average pressed eyeshadow in green beauty is about $12 a pan. So, even though you’re definitely not getting a deal, by any means, if you love the colors and think you’d get use out of it, I definitely think it’s worth the investment because the quality is 👌. Also, if you order from Safe & Chic, they’re almost always running some form of a 15% off sale with the code SPOOKY for Halloween! 🙌✨🙌
The Night Palette features warm, neutral shades that would be considered staples for each season. Each shade is very pigmented! Swatches (from left to right or bottom to top in last swatch photo):
🌟Kind Blush: a medium, terracotta – rose with a matte finish (I honestly can’t imagine this shade looking bad on anyone & it’s definitely pigmented enough for deeper skin tones 👍! Use a light hand if you’re fair, like me and you’ll love the effect 👌)
🌟Fizz is a brightening, pale oyster shade with a pearlescent finish
🌟Aspen is the perfect matte, dusty rose with brown undertones for the ideal crease shade
🌟Oak is a beautiful mid-toned bronze with gold sparkle (this is my favorite one and done shade after I use Fizz all over the lid)
🌟Rolo is a deep taupe/brown with plum undertones and a satin/shimmer finish
🌟Carob is a deep brown with hints of mossy green with a satin finish. (Carob & Rolo both double as gorgeous liner shades!)
I’ve reached for this palette time and time again throughout the 10 months that I’ve had it and for someone who loves makeup as much as I do, that’s saying a lot! I also love that each pan can be removed, which makes these palettes versatile if you have the Day Palette or the new Glow palette by Fitglow. Since these are standard size pans, you can also swap out some of the shades with shades from other companies, as well, to create your perfect, custom palette! I particularly like that the pans can be removed because I always use up lighter shades much faster than the deeper shades, so it’s nice to know that if this happens, I can replace these shades with others in my collection without neglecting the rest of the palette.
In terms of quality, these have everything I would hope for in a pressed mineral product! As previously mentioned, I did receive this palette in order to do this review, however, I since have purchased the Day Palette with my own money, as well as some other Fitglow goodies I’ve been eyeing from Safeandchic.com, which is a one-stop-shop for many of your favorite Green Beauty brands from makeup to skincare! They’re almost always running some form of sale and/or free shipping, which is always the best! I’m so happy to have given this palette a chance & to see more and more palettes popping up in Green Beauty, in general!
